Wooden bowls Platters and vases all handcrafted in Kent by woodturning artist Steve Dell.
Every piece is totally unique and most are made from timber obtained from a local tree surgeon. Particular favourites are Yew, Walnut, Mulberry, Monkey Puzzle, Apple, Plum and all spalted timbers. ( See FAQ's for further details about spalted timber)
Each item is a unique example of the beauty of wood hidden for years beneath the bark, a combination of form and texture are the principal motivations behind much of my work and in particular I like working with timber that has natural damage, you will see that many of my pieces have natural faults that have been incorporated as features.
I hope you will agree that they would make excellent gifts for that special occasion whether it be Christmas, Birthday, Wedding, or Retirement, or maybe just to add that finishing touch in your own home.
